My good friend Sym and I spend six days exploring the Denali Backcountry in Alaska. It was perfect timing, no bugs, and the fall colors were at their peak (in August). Here is our tent, with a great view of the valley... and the grizzly bears roaming around looking for blueberries. (For more pictures, click on this one. Watch for more pictures soon, as I scan them.)

Holy Smoke that is beautiful! You my friend know how to live!
Phil,
Kevin and I just saw your blog link on Billy's blog!
Did you move to Alaska or just visiting?
Your pictures are beautiful!

It's great to hear from you guys! I was just there on vacation. I moved to Tennessee just over a year ago. How is Indy treating you all? I used to live there myself.
Billy, thanks for the comments. The picture just doesn't do it justice!
Philly - glad I have this website to track you down - looks like you are one muskateer short of a candy bar for this trip! I'm so jealous...hope you're having a good holiday.
