Friendly Fred

I almost walked right into this Marbled Orb Weaver Spider yesterday, while going for a hike. I turned around and he was right in front of my face! Fortunately he is harmless, but captivating. I have never seen a spider with colors this vivid. After a while he crawled right inside it's leaf home. You would never know he was there, except for the web.

The weather here in Tennessee has been just amazing the past several days. The trees are just beginning to change color. It's a great time to be in the outdoors.
